Accessibility Statement

Ombudsrail, the ombudsman service for rail passengers, strives to make its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

Therefore, we try to comply as much as possible with the accessibility standards set by the Belgian Act of 19 July 2018 transposing European Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

Drafting of this accessibility statement

This accessibility statement was drafted on 3 February 2022 and last revised on 3 February 2022. It was made by the communication team of Ombudsrail in cooperation with the website developer Digicreate.

Compliance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define standards regarding the accessibility requirements for people with disabilities.

Our organisation partially complies with WCAG 2.1 level AA, as some parts of our website are not fully compliant.

In the short-term, we will work with the website developer to implement the necessary changes to make the website more accessible.

Non-accessible content and alternatives

We are making every effort to make our website and the documents we publish fully accessible. Our annual reports are available in PDF format on our website. The annual reports from 2018 onwards have been drafted with the accessibility requirements in mind.

The older annual reports predate the Belgian Act of 19 July 2018 and are only partially accessible. If you would like an accessible version of these reports, please contact us at info@ombudsrail.be. We will see how we can help you.

If you find other information (pdf, images ...) or web pages that are inaccessible during your visit to our website, please let us know by sending an e-mail to info@ombudsrail.be.

Accessibility check

The accessibility of our website is regularly checked by means of the tool Accessibility Check that was developed by the FPS BOSA and by means of a self-assessment by Ombudsrail.
